Reality TV Finale Week

Next week will be an awesome week. Two of my favorite reality shows, Survivor and the Amazing Race, are going to air their season finale! We're down to the Final 4. Who among Danni, Lydia, Rafe and Stephenie will win the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize? (Well, I think I know who wins by browsing several spoiler sites, but I won't spoil you. Hehe!) Find out on Monday, 2:00 PM on Studio 23! The Final 3 teams of the Bransens, the Linzes, and the Weavers are going to battle it out to earn $1 million and become the official winners of the Amazing Race. Who will win? (Again, I think I know who wins from several websites, lol) Tune in on Wednesday, 10 am on Studio 23 for the 2-hour finale!

Amazing Race 8 Prediction Game

Amazing Race 8 is starting soon, and so is my new game! I'm going to run The Amazing Race 8 Prediction Game . It's fairly simple. Each week, before each episode air, you have to answer a few questions about the upcoming episode, like "Who will be eliminated?" The results will be shown after the episode is televised, and the score will be tallied. You also get bonus points for other stuff. It's very simple and easy. If you are a fan of the show and would like to join a game, please try out mine! Thanks! :) PS: I'm currently reading Congo by Michael Crichton.

Survey

I don't have anything worthwhile to post right now, so why not answer this survey for me? :D Just comment on this blog with your answers to the questions below. :) ********************* 1. Who are you? 2. Are we friends? 3. When and how did we meet? 4. Do you have a crush on me? 5. Would you kiss me? 6. Give me a nickname and explain why you picked it. 7. Describe me in one word. 8. What was your first impression? 9. Do you still think that way about me now? 10. What reminds you of me? 11. If you could give me anything what would it be? 12. How well do you know me? 13. When's the last time you saw me? 14. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't? 15. Are you going to put this on your blog and see what I say about you?

Mozilla!

I really love Mozilla products. I've been using Firefox as my browser for several months now, and it's all pleasure. There are some fancy stuff that it can't seem to do (like glowing fonts), but I'm not complaining. The best thing about it is that it is FREE. The installer file is also quite small, about 4.5 MB, very convenient to download. Try it out! You'll forget you even have IE. If you are using Outlook or Outlook Express and you are hating it, I suggest trying Mozilla's Thunderbird email client. Again, this is FREE to download, the installer is only 5.8 MB, and there's one feature that I totally love about it: you can download RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to your computer! Are you still with me? I'll give you an example. I download blogs using my Thunderbird program! Blogs! Yes! Isn't that neat? Instead of visiting different blogs, you can download the latest entries right to your computer. It's amazing. But of course, you need

Reality TV

I realized that these past few months most of the TV shows I watch are reality shows. I think it's mainly because the non-reality shows that I like/want to watch (CSI, Alias, 24, Darna (LOL!), etc) are aired at a time that I am at/on my way home to work (I work nights). Every Sunday (my day off the job), I usually watch several movies. It doesn't help that I am also a moderator in a reality show-based forum . I am most surprised at finding myself interested in a reality show that is not even aired here in the Philippines. I'm talking about Big Brother 6 . That show has got to be the most strategy-filled reality show I have ever known, way more cut throat than Survivor. From what I read in message boards, it is one of the most interesting BB seasons that CBS produced. Some even say the season might be "scripted" and not really "real" (which is what reality shows are all about). Someone told me that our version of BB, Pinoy Big Brother, is patterned after

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (No Spoilers)

Yes! I finished reading the book last Monday, early morning. I think it was awesome! We finally got the answers to some of the questions that have been bugging us (or at least me), like why the DADA position is jinxed, Voldemort's background, and of course, who is the half-blood prince. It's a bit shorter than Goblet of Fire, and some scenes felt "rushed". Others say the characters weren't their usual selves on some parts of the books, and I agree. Overall, I think this is better than OotP in terms of "content". But my favorite HP book is still Prisoner of Azkaban. :) **** I'm currently reading Travels by Michael Crichton.

Happy 4th of July!

Image
Happy 4th of July to my American friends! I made a new avatar for the message boards that I frequent. It's an elvish translation of my nickname 'jaypee'. It's the one on the left... I watched 2 movies yesterday. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Chicago. I found both movies entertaining.Sky Captain's special effects were not that good, but it's an adventure movie, and Angelina Jolie was there, so of course it's great! LOL. Chicago was also a good movie, but I still like Moulin Rouge better. I'm currently reading Absolute Power by David Baldacci. An online friend suggested the book to me, and so far the book is good. Yesterday I've been up for about 23 hours (woke up 7 pm Saturday night, worked from 10 pm to 6 am, slept 6 pm Sunday). I've been practicing on burning my own DVD. I ran into several problems, wasted a few DVDs, and finally successfully burned Back to the Future (which my brother downloaded using eMule). But when they tried to

Just a little update

Let's see... I've just seen the latest Star Wars film, and it totally rocks! Best Star Wars movie, IMO, but that's just because I barely remember Episodes 4, 5, and 6, and Episodes 1 and 2 are really not that good. 2 new books in my to-read pile: Absolute Power by David Baldacci and Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins (I think). Currently reading Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Alliance by Larry Millet. Its main character is Shadwell Rafferty, but SH and Dr Watson are there to help Rafferty in his investigations. I am still in night shift. At least I have a job! It's very hard to be jobless these days. Our broadband Internet at home just got fixed the other day. It's been broken since Saturday. Come on, we're paying big bucks for it, the best they can do is to give us what we paid for! I'm playing too many reality online games. 3 Survivor, 2 Amazing Race, and Games Frenzy 2, a mixture of web games and fiction writing (lol). There's

Just an update

I got a salary increase yesterday! LOL.

January 9, 2005

Many things happened between December 12, 2004 and January 9, 2005. Personally, I celebrated the holidays with my family and the my mom's relatives. Locally, FPJ died. Internationally, there was a tsunami that struck nations around the Indian ocean, killing more than 150,000 people. This is very sad! Hopefully, everything will be good this coming new year.
